This dodgy caller rang my cousin, who's actually listed in the PHONE BOOK. If you're in there, your details are up for grabs by anyone. The best thing to do is get on the opt-out list, which should be free to do, but changing your number usually costs. Also, sign up with the TPS, but be careful to use the official site because scammers have been targeting those as well.

When I did, a lady with an accent like from the Indian subcontinent picked up. I asked her for some kind of proof that she was legit, and she just ended the call straight away. Someone's been ringing me claiming to be from HMRC but it's clearly a dodgy scam, and the number keeps changing. I answered twice and it was the same bloke with a heavy Pakistani accent, sounding proper shady, asking for money like he’s after some shady deal in Karachi or something.
