I'm convinced that this number belongs to Npower. The individual on the line claimed to be representing Eon and was perusing his records for tariff options. He expressed his apologies, mentioning that the quote from Eon was rather steep, but noted that Npower's rates seemed more reasonable, advising me to get in touch with them instead.

I received a call from a so-called energy firm called Echo, claiming to represent my electricity provider and stating that they handle renewals. What a load of rubbish! They didn’t even seem to know who my actual supplier was. I wouldn't advise anyone to fall for their ploy, as it’s clearly a scam aimed at tricking unsuspecting customers.
