Received a call purporting to be from EON, attempting to sort out a contract renewal that isn’t actually up for renewal yet. Mentioned I’d get back to them, but when I tried to return the call for confirmation, there was no response. Quite dodgy if you ask me!

Pretending to be from British Gas, these folks were attempting to lock me into a three-year deal. After doing some digging, I discovered their offer was nearly twice what British Gas had on the table! They were fully aware of my account details, which was rather off-putting. When they called again, my response caught them off guard, and they ended the conversation rather curtly, wishing me a "pleasant life." Truly a scam if ever there was one!
