I got a missed call and a couple of voicemails on my old number, the one I keep for emergencies on my dual SIM. Only my family knows my new number. After reading this, I've just gone ahead and blocked that number.

Got a call from 0161 850 0063, rang me twice in two days. The woman claimed to be from O2 and instantly wanted to know my name. I didn’t give it to her, asked what she wanted instead. She said something about a SIM card I'd supposedly ordered online. I told her that wasn't true, ended the call and blocked the number. Bet they’ll just ring from another number soon enough.

Kept ringing but they never left any message, so I just blocked the number.

They are so frustrating! I even warned them I was recording the call and would report them to ICO and Action Fraud, but it didn’t faze them one bit. I keep trying to report these calls to ICO, but every time it’s from a different company and number, so blocking them on my phone feels pointless.

Got a call from someone claiming I’d been searching for an 02 upgrade online. I told them I hadn’t asked for anything and tried to dodge their questions. Then the bloke got a bit snappy, asking if I really thought I'd waste my time like that. I wasn’t having it and asked why he thought it was okay to be so rude. He cranked up the aggression, so I matched it and told him for his own sake he should just end the call. He hung up pretty sharpish. Total scam, dodgy and sneaky - the sort of people you just don’t want to deal with.
