Someone rang up saying my boyfriend had filled out a survey and asked for a fresh sim with O2. But no, he never did that. We actually use BT. He was doing a survey from Iceland and when the questions changed to stuff about our utilities and phone providers, he just chucked it. Maybe they got some info anyway. Moral of the story? Got a call from someone saying they were with O2, saying I’d asked for a new SIM card. They were asking for my husband but were using my phone number - immediately made me suspicious! I told them I hadn’t requested anything, and they said they’d cancel the SIM. The background noise was like a busy call centre, very noisy. Definitely sounded dodgy to me.
