They keep ringing me on my phone saying they’re from UK Choice and that it’s good news, but they never try to sell me anything. I always ask them to remove my number from their list, yet within minutes they’re calling again. The callers gave names like Harry, Jacob, and Mary, but their accents were really strong, so I’m guessing English isn’t their native tongue. Just so you know, I wrote before that German is my first language, so I likely speak with a strong accent myself!

Got a scam call the other day, so I looked it up and found you can actually report these dodgy calls online. Just type ‘action fraud’ into Google and it’ll take you to the police.uk website. From there, you go to the phishing report section and they’ve got loads of info about what to do. Make sure you read everything, then submit all the details of the scam right on their site. This is really important because it helps the police track how widespread these cons are. Don’t just ignore it!

The other day I picked up and they actually used my old surname which was a bit odd. When I asked what the call was about the person just said ‘no’ then suddenly cut me off. The next time I answered, it was dead silence on the other end. Quite strange really.

Got a call claiming to be from Home Saver. When I asked if they were a UK-based company, they said yes. So I told them, under GDPR, they need to delete my info within 24 hours. They just ended the call. Another time, someone said "Sorry, *person* doesn’t stay here now," and then cut me off too. Proper dodgy behaviour.
