Envirocare? Just like someone else mentioned, got a call from a bloke named Harry with an Indian accent. He was quizzing me about the age of my boiler, saying they have new boilers on offer. I said mine was brand new, then he weirdly asked if I needed a second one! Ended the call and blocked straight away.

Some bloke said he was ringing from Envirocare or something. I couldn’t make out his accent but I just kept chatting to annoy him and kill some time. He was some Asian guy saying he was from Milton Keynes and calling from the UK. I laughed, told him the number he dialled was a Manchester one. He went quiet then! Kept pestering about how old my boiler was - bit cheeky if you ask me. You don’t ask that kinda stuff, especially to a woman! Eventually he got so frustrated with my questions, he just hung up! Definitely a scam. Blocked the number straight away.

I’d really appreciate it if someone could help put an end to the calls from this number. I've recently lost a loved one because of Covid-19, and it’s been an incredibly difficult time for me. To make matters worse, this number keeps pestering me with claims-related nonsense. Then the conversation took a bizarre turn when they asked about my life insurance! At that point, I was tempted to unleash an expletive, but instead I opted for a polite "goodbye" and hung up. Some bloke rang up saying my hubby had been in a crash and claimed it with his insurer. He said there was like £3800 owed to him. I politely told him my husband hadn’t been in any accident and to stop calling that number. He insisted I was wrong, but I kept telling him I wasn’t. Then he started swearing at me, calling me ‘f***ing’ wrong and stupid! I found it quite funny, but it’s awful to think someone upset might get caught out by this. So watch out for this number!
