i just got a phone call from someone named “steven” who spoke with an asian accent. he asked for my name and then claimed to be from some kind of (crackle) investigation team, talking about an accident involving someone in my home over the past 18 months. i had to keep insisting and finally made it clear no one here had any accidents in that period. eventually he muttered something like sorry for the trouble and ended the call.

Got a call from some "law firm" that already knew my name and where I live, trying to make me recall a small car crash. As far as I’m aware, I’ve never had one. The line was pretty poor and I could hear a lot happening in the background, like a busy call centre or something. Felt like they were just after my details.

I usually ignore calls from landlines but this one kept ringing for like 5 minutes, so I finally picked up. As soon as I said hello, the guy already knew my name, which freaked me out a bit. I didn’t even let him get a word in, just hung up. So irritating!

On 20th June, got two calls from someone saying they were a lawyer and that I’d been in a car crash which wasn’t my fault. I told him to delete my info from their records as I never consented to them keeping it, especially under GDPR rules.
