I received a call at half past ten this morning from someone claiming to be from SKY PROTECT, based at Leicester House, 171 Leicester Street, Warwickshire. The caller mentioned that he was following up regarding my SKY TV insurance renewal, referencing a letter he supposedly sent me a fortnight ago. He went on to list various renewal options priced at £100, £150, and £200. As he prattled on, I inquired about payment methods, to which he suggested using a credit or debit card. At this point, I decided to set the record straight by informing him that I do not subscribe to SKY TV and had never received any such correspondence. I expressed my suspicion that this might be a scam and promptly ended the call. He appeared to have an Indian accent. Furthermore, I suspect those 0161 numbers originate from Manchester, not Warwickshire, and I live close to Harrogate in North Yorkshire.
