They said they were from National Green Energy in Birmingham, but it was just a rehearsed sales pitch. When I asked a few questions, I realised the caller was actually over 6,000 miles away from Birmingham. Total scammers.

I had a rather bothersome encounter with the Legal Protection Agency regarding my claims for a car accident. It was frustrating enough that I decided to hang up on them and subsequently blocked their number.

Received a call from someone claiming to be the Legal Protection Agency, telling me I’m owed money for damage to my car in a crash, which never happened. When I asked for more details about when this supposed accident was, they said they couldn’t share without my reg number and the date for security. I refused to give that and then they tried asking if it involved anyone else at my address, just fishing for any info they could get.

Sounds like it’s one of those big call centres working for loads of companies, cos my call came from O2. The guy sounded genuine, he knew my tariff, data usage and how long i've been a customer. Up to you if you pick up, but honestly, you won’t really know which company they’re actually calling from till you chat with them.

Weirdly, they mentioned an old address I shared with friends ages ago. How on earth did they find that? This number definitely needs looking into, not sure who these people are or what they’re after!

They ring me nearly every day, sometimes 3 times a day. I've blocked at least 4 mobiles and about 5 Manchester landlines. Feels like a scam to me, like they might be trying to hack your phone or get some info. Best thing is don’t pick up and just block every number they use, and they seem to have tons of different ones.
