I ignored the calls because I kept getting loads about PPI from numbers that all looked alike. 0161 is for Manchester, but that 8 afterwards isn’t a real area code or anything. I’ve blocked several numbers starting with 01618 but they just keep tweaking the last few digits and calling again, so I guess I’ll just have to keep blocking them as they come. - caller: 01618148987

Got a call from someone about a PPI claim, said I’d filed one ages ago but couldn’t give me any info. First time I answered, the guy said his company was First Claims, then a few days later a different bloke called saying he was from First Advise. The caller’s name was John Mackenzie. Sounds dodgy to me.

I received a rather perplexing call from an outfit calling themselves THE LEGAL CONSULTANCY, inquiring about some PPI claim they insisted I'd filed in the past. I find it utterly baffling, as I’ve never submitted a claim, nor have I ever had any PPI in the first place! It's all quite misleading, to say the least!
