Got a call from someone claiming to be from an insurance firm offering legal advice help. Sounded a bit off to me. Just wanted to warn others to be careful with these calls, they might not be as legit as they seem.

Have no clue who this is, they rang me like 6 times today. Saw the comments on here so I've just blocked the number now.

They've rung me like 10 times over the past few days, but never say a word before just cutting off. No clue who they are or what they're after, so best to just block the number.

They called me a few times, about three if I remember right. First thing out of their mouth was PPI, which really set me off. Honestly, who do these lot think they are? The bloke sounded so smug. I told him to find a decent job instead, and he fires back with “Why haven’t you then?” So I had to remind him I’m retired, after working my socks off for years. Some real cheeky people out there!

I recently put that number on block on my Android using a handy free app from Google Play called "Calls Blacklist." Whenever those pesky c#### ring, the app blocks em super quick and I barely notice they tried calling, except for a quiet little note popping up sayin the number tried to reach me on a certain date n time.

Calls me pretty much every day without fail.

This number keeps calling me over and over every single day. I tried calling them back once, but it just went to an answerphone saying no one was free, please stay on the line. I ended the call, and within 5 minutes they called me again. I've had enough and blocked the number now.

I've just received a call from this number, and let's just say, the bloke on the line was nothing short of rude. When I requested him to remove my contact from their list, he unleashed a torrent of profanities and insults, even stooping to calling me vile names. His cheek was astounding, suggesting I go and... well, let's keep it civil. It's absolutely ludicrous! This number rings me a staggering five to six times daily, and I’m absolutely at my wit's end! It’s frankly absurd that I’m being berated by someone who doesn’t even know me. I made it clear that I wanted my details scrubbed from their system, or I’d have no choice but to involve the authorities. To that, he ridiculously quipped that I could inform MI5 or even James Bond!

HE EVEN TOLD ME TO GO AWAY IN A REALLY OFFENSIVE WAY! THIS NUMBER RINGS ME AROUND 5 OR 6 TIMES DAILY AND IT'S DRIVING ME MAD. IT'S ABSOLUTELY CRAZY TO GET INSULTS FROM SOMEONE WHO DOESN'T EVEN KNOW YOU. I WARNED HIM TO REMOVE MY NUMBER OR I'D BE CONTACTING THE POLICE NEXT TIME, SINCE IT HAPPENS SO OFTEN. HIS RESPONSE? THAT I COULD TELL MI5 OR EVEN JAMES BOND HIMSELF!

I just got a call from this number and the bloke on the line was absolutely rude. When I asked to be taken off their calling list, he started hurling insults at me, calling me names and telling me to ‘f*** off’. This number rings me around 5-6 times daily and it’s really starting to wind me up! It’s mad that someone who doesn’t even know me is so disrespectful on the phone. This afternoon at precisely 12:12, the phone rang-29th June 2015, to be exact. My husband, who works from home, picked it up, but all he caught was a woman’s voice stating, "then you just add the VAT," presumably addressing a colleague. He quickly realised it was some sort of call centre due to the racket of chattering voices in the background. Despite his attempts at engaging by saying hello a few times, she simply ignored him and hung up after a while. Curiosity got the better of me, so I called 1471, which provided the number 0161 814 8818, but it didn’t allow me to ring them back. So, I phoned the number directly and was greeted with an automated message saying, "the person at ext. 2002 is not currently available, please leave a message." Like that’d happen! After a bit of research online, I discovered that this was all linked to Money Protect Ltd, likely ringing about changes in UK pension regulations with the intention of pilfering some cash from unsuspecting victims. It’s absolutely comical that this company employs a bunch of uninspired individuals who lack the basic decency to even engage in a proper conversation with those they’re calling. I can’t stand cold callers-they show utter disregard for our privacy and time. We’ve been signed up with the Telephone Preference Service and have opted out of the edited electoral register for years, but it hardly seems to make a difference (and don't even get me started on the ICO’s inefficiency!). In a fit of frustration, I decided to go ex-directory under BT’s Privacy Policy a few months back, yet these blasted calls persist! It’s utterly maddening! Today, I’ve filed another complaint with the TPS, but I can't say I'm hopeful about that yielding results! :(

I picked up and they just hung up on me. Then I called 1471 and got a message saying the person at ext. 200 wasn’t free.

What cracks me up is how they seem to employ people who can’t even hold a proper chat with those they ring up. I despise these cold calls - they totally ignore people’s privacy and waste our time. We’ve been signed up with the TPS and even taken off the edited electoral roll for ages, but none of it seems to work (and the ICO just makes matters worse!). Fed up, a couple of months ago I switched to BT's ex-directory option under their Privacy Policy, yet these calls just keep coming. Honestly, what else can we do? Had a call at precisely 18:01 on Thursday, 14th May 2015. The moment we answered, there was only silence on the other end. Apparently, it’s meant to be a financial services company. Notably, the area code 0161 indicates it’s from Manchester.
