I got two calls from this number today. When I picked up the second time, the lady asked for me using my maiden name, which I haven’t used for about six years. I told her that nobody by that name lived here anymore, and she snapped back with, “there’s no need to be rude.” Honestly, what if they’d rung a family member of someone who’d just passed away and caught them off guard? I reckon what annoys me even more than cold calls are the ones where the caller is downright rude!

Somebody rang me claiming they needed to talk about a crash I supposedly had a year and a half back. Thing is, I haven’t been in any accident at all. This number’s called me a few times before, so I asked where they were based so I could lodge a harassment complaint, especially since I already told them to stop phoning me. They wouldn’t give me the details, saying something about ‘data protection’. I told them that was rubbish, told them to piss off and never ring again. I’ve since blocked the number.

It was weird, I answered the phone but nobody spoke or responded on the other end.

Some muppet rang me up pretending to be from some accident claim company, saying I was owed over £3,000 for a no-fault crash. Then they started going on about it maybe being a family member involved, which was rubbish. When I told them it was all bollocks, they got all pushy, like “don’t you want your money?”. Kept asking nicely to be taken off their list but the guy just got more aggressive. Sounds like a dodgy telesales job or a straight-up scam. Tried calling the number back and only got some recorded message. Total waste of time.
