I put my car up on Gumtree and within minutes some bloke texted me calling himself Harry. He wanted access to the car’s VIN check, which for those who don’t know, is something buyers usually pay for, not sellers. Harry even tried sending me a link to buy the report but insisted I’d get the money back later. Sensible as I am when it comes to scams, I told him I wasn’t falling for his nonsense. Then he started going on about how it’s supposedly my job to provide it. I just told him to buzz off - I’m not daft, thanks very much.

Got a call from some team that said they were with the Scottish police positive action unit. Sounded a bit off to me. Anyone else heard of them? Feels dodgy.

Got a call from an 02 number saying my payment didn’t process. Thing is, I’m not on the 02 network so it’s gotta be a scam. Stay cautious!

Got a call from O2 telling me my payment didn’t clear, but I’m pretty sure I sorted it already. Bit confusing, to be honest.

This was a total scam. They said my payment didn’t go through so PayPal got suspended or something. But I never got any texts from PayPal at all. Really fishy!

Just got a text saying my bank couldn’t process the payment for my bill. They wanted me to click on a dodgy link to update my details. What a joke! Seriously, don’t be fooled by these scammers trying to trick you. Stay safe out there!

This has gotta be a total scam. My bank wouldn’t authorise the payment, but EE showed everything was fine when I checked through their app. Proper nasty scammers, honestly.
