I posted my business on sites like Facebook and Gumtree, and these guys started ringing me up. They were really cheeky and dishonest, promised my business would show up on Google if I paid them. Took my cash but nothing happened. Total scam, avoid at all costs!

This bloke has been blowing my phone up constantly, like 7 calls back to back today, and been at it on and off for a few months now. Had to go and block his number along with any others that looked like it. Honestly, that’s the only solution that’s worked so far.

Got a call from 01618132318, a bloke named James claiming to be an account manager pushing SEO services and wanted £139 from me. I said I wasn’t interested but he tried cutting the price as if he was bargaining, then just ended the call abruptly. When I rang back to find out which firm he was from, they wouldn’t say and just tried to get me to hang up. Stay clear of these lot - it’s a total con!

Looks like you must be behind this dodgy outfit making calls to people who’ve signed up to the Telephone Preference Service - something you definitely aren’t supposed to do. Trying to drag me to the top of Google, are you? Absolute rubbish. Total scam. Stay well clear.

I got a call from someone claiming to be Facebook. Ended up losing £100 to them. They seem to be preying on lone traders around Christmas. Proper lowlife move. We should do everything to shut these fraudsters down.

Had loads of annoying calls from these lot claiming they’ll get me to the top spot on Google - total nonsense if you ask me. Honestly, I’d avoid them at all costs and report them to Yell. They always start off by saying they saw my listing on Yell, which really doesn’t sit right as I’m sure Yell frowns on that kind of thing. So for anyone else, please do let Yell know about this!

Actually, I got a couple of calls from this outfit, and their primary contact is 0845 254 2533. I ended up talking to a guy named Mark Graham, said he’s the manager, and he promised they wouldn’t ring me back on any of my numbers. If they do, I’m not messing about - I’ll be lodging a complaint with OFCOM, especially as all my numbers are signed up with TPS and CTPS.

Around a fortnight ago, I got a call from this number shortly after I put up my business ad on Yell.com. Like others have mentioned here, the woman on the phone was asking me to pay in order to have my ad featured on the front page. She claimed to be from Yell.com, but it’s pretty clear this was a con.

I got stuck with one of these deals where they signed me up to promote my business on Google, but when I looked up my company name, all I saw was my free yell.com listing popping up as the ad. Honestly, I'd tell anyone to steer clear of these folks unless you're happy to waste a lot of cash for nothing.

Received a call on our home phone from this number. I answered, but there was complete silence on the other end before they abruptly disconnected. Quite odd!

Some sales folks were pretty persistent and asked loads of questions, but I wasn’t buying their story. They wanted £79 but I managed to get it down to £45 for supposedly getting me on Google’s front page. I ended up chatting with around four different people from their team, and they all kept stammering, going over the same stuff again and again, and dodging my direct questions. Honestly, I’d recommend doing your homework before handing over any cash on the phone.
