So annoying! They rang and asked "Is this Mr Foley?" I said no, and then they tried to fish out my name by saying "Oh, then who is this?" I just replied "I'm not Mr Foley". They kept going with "Well, who are you then?" and I said "Doesn't really matter, you’ve got the wrong number". They sounded annoyed and said something like "No need to be cheeky" before hanging up. Never give out your name or info to random callers unless you know who they are. I’m definitely blocking their number now.

Got a call about some life insurance, sounded fishy to me. I had some fun with them since I can't get life insurance elsewhere but supposedly this place could sort it. Honestly, don’t trust them.

Got a call from a woman, but the connection was terrible and I could barely make out what she said. Definitely felt like a scam though.

Spoke to an Indian lady, the call kept breaking up loads so probably routed overseas. She somehow knew my name and rattled off a bunch of life insurance firms, like six of them. Then she wanted to know when to ring me again. I just ended the call. Reported and blocked her on my Android - would be great if more folks did this so Android can begin automatically spotting these scam calls.

0161 8081782 Woman was rude. She got the name wrong then tried to fix it. When I asked where she was calling from, she said I didn’t need to know. Then she asked when she could speak to the person she was after (who’s been dead over 3 years). She just ended the call.

0161 808 1782 - This number reached out, professing to be from some sort of insurance review firm, yet they couldn't seem to settle on which one it was - they bandied about three different names in total! First it was the Insurance Review Department, then they switched to the Life Review Centre, and finally settled on UK Life. They went on about having a UK location in Merseyside, which is a bit dodgy considering the caller ID showed a Manchester number. To top it all off, the chap let slip that he's actually operating from South Africa. Quite the con, wouldn't you say? Caller: 0161 808 1782.

the woman i spoke to was really rude and agressive. she got upset when i refused to say if i had life insurance and threatened to give my number to other people to call me. when i told her not to, she just said she would anyway and then ended the call. quite unpleasant experience.

They seem to ring me up right when I’m eating every single time. Why don’t the phone companies, who we’re paying, just block these scam calls? They must be aware who’s behind them since those scammers probably pay the same companies to place all these calls. I get about half a dozen scam calls daily and everyone I know gets the same. If I bothered someone that much, the police would definitely tell me to cut it out or face legal trouble.

There was loads of noise in the background, like other people on calls. They asked for ‘Mr-’ but actually used my first name. Had an Indian accent and didn’t sound very professional to me. I’d say block it as spam cos it seems like one of those Indian boiler room schemes.
