Got a spam call from someone with a thick accent. Could hardly make out what they were saying. Just ended up blocking the number.

They just wont stop ringing, even after I told them I wasnt interested. They called again after a few weeks, I had to be quite firm with them before they said they'd put a note to not ring me anymore. But less than a week later, there they were again! Had to block the number, but then the same mob rang from a number just one digit off. Best thing is just to ignore and block, total nuisance.

Got a call that was definitely spam. The person hesitated and asked for "Mrs Jones," I said it was the wrong number, and then they asked for my name. I just ended the call straight away, felt like they were trying to get some personal info.

Someone rang me claiming to be from the life centre, but totally messed up my surname. I chuckled and told them "close enough." I warned them I’d probably hang up soon, and they asked why, calling it rude. I said it’s spam, my number’s registered with TPS, and it’s impolite to disturb someone busy with work. They said they’d return the favour and then ended the call. I’d say just block or ignore them, and I’m about to report this to the TPS site for breaking the rules. Always let them talk long enough to catch the company’s name!

I get this call about once every day, but I usually just let it ring. When I do pick up, there's never anyone there, so I just hang up. It’s really frustrating, especially since I’m 90 and it makes me have to get up and go all the way to the phone, which is quite a task.

Got a missed call and trying to figure out if it’s a scam. My wife had the same thing happen, she let it go to voicemail, but there was nothing left. Strange!

I picked up the phone, there was a good 5 seconds of dead silence, then some British bloke just said hello. Could hear loads of noise like a busy call centre in the back. I just hung up. If you’re gonna ring me, be prepared to actually speak instead of making me wait - totally spam in my book.

Got a call from this number, no voicemail left. I rang back and the person on the other end knew my name and asked if I was them. I didn’t say yes, I just asked who they were, then the line went dead. Now the number’s blocked. Funny enough, I did ask a different firm on Thursday to take me off their calls, so maybe it’s linked. I received an unsolicited call from a rather impolite lady representing a supposed insurance company, insisting that I had a life insurance policy. When I pressed her for the source of my personal information, she refused to disclose it. Just to clarify, I neither possess nor have any desire to purchase any life insurance. Our conversation turned quite heated, and ultimately, I decided to block the number entirely.
