We’ve opted out of these annoying sales calls, so why do they persist? And what's with them hanging up abruptly? Don’t they realise how frustrating it is, especially when I'm juggling two little ones? Their constant interruptions often wake the babies from their naps. It’s beyond frustrating!

I’ve received a total of five calls from this number over the last week! I had the answerphone switched off while I was away on holiday, but just got back to the UK today, and lo and behold, this was the first number that tried to reach me. I suspect it’s from Swinton. Our car insurance was up for renewal, and while we’ve not enlisted their services for our vehicle, they do provide coverage for our home. Quite curious, isn’t it?

Got a call on 13/10/16 from someone claiming to be from an insurance helpline. I told them I wasn’t interested and hung up. Then the same person called me again asking why I wouldn’t talk, I said no and ended the call once more. They called back yet again, left the phone off the hook for a bit, then replaced it about an hour later and rang once more. This all happened between 1:30 and 3 in the arvo.

Our first instinct is to chuck any unfamiliar number into a search engine to see what comes up, and it hardly ever lets us down. Coincidentally, our car insurance is due shortly. On the 7th of February 2011, we received a call, just days before our vehicle insurance was set to renew on the 17th. Since we are on the telephone preference service, it’s baffling how these folks managed to get through to us. The call originated from a number in Manchester. We've had dealings with Swinton Insurance in the past, but now we've switched over to Saga as we felt Swinton had taken advantage of us with their excessive broker fees.
