I’ve been bombarded with calls from this lot, insisting that I need to 'verify my entitlement for a PPI refund' through some dodgy text link. When I suggested sending me written confirmation, they swiftly dismissed that, claiming it’s not the norm. They even tried to insist that I confirm I’d 'pressed the link' over speakerphone! I was taken aback and flat out told them I wouldn’t be clicking on anything. The caller then made a bizarre comment, questioning why I might think they were trying to scam me - which is a bit odd since I never even suggested that! I firmly told them to stop ringing me, as I had zero intention of engaging with any link they sent my way. Yet, they've managed to ring me three times within just a few minutes. I've previously blocked their numbers, but it seems they just keep rotating through various Manchester numbers when one gets blocked. It’s rather infuriating!

There was a bit of quiet followed by some weird music, then a friendly woman said I was owed a tax refund for a PPI claim I never made. I told her I’d never claimed anything like that, and asked if she was aware my number was on the TPS list. She acted like she’d never heard of it. The call finished pretty quickly after that.

I got a call from a woman with a strong Asian accent about something to do with a PPI claim. I couldn't catch what she said properly, so I asked her to say it again. Then she switched and mentioned a tax refund. I told her to send me details in writing instead. She got a bit annoyed, but when I said I don't talk about money stuff over the phone, she just ended the call. Seemed pretty dodgy to me, definitely a scam.
