Got a call from some bloke claiming to be from the RCN (I’m a nurse myself) trying to push a pricey online course for the Royal College of Nurses. Total con. Had to tell him off a few times and when I said I’m fine with my current stuff, he just ended the call. Targeting nurses right now is just awful. Proper dodgy.

I got a call from a woman who said her name was Nicole, sounded Asian, telling me I’d won some prize. When I asked which one, she quickly switched the subject and kept pushing me to join a lottery that happens on Fridays or something. This week alone I've got 53 calls from this number. I've blocked it a couple of times already, but they keep finding ways to ring me. They seem really dodgy, had details about me I have no clue how they got, even stuff about my pension? I tried telling the police but they don’t care since there’s no threats or anything physical. I had the misfortune of receiving three phone calls while at work, followed by another as soon as I returned home. When I picked up, the caller claimed to have obtained my details from a Marks and Spencer competition I entered. To my surprise, she rattled off my name, address, date of birth, and email address. I must admit, I was quite taken aback. Then she informed me that I had supposedly won ten free lines on the EuroMillions but, after a week, I would need to subscribe for £9.95 each month. I firmly told her there was no way I would be handing over my bank details, especially without any proof of who she was or what company she represented. She was rather insistent, so I suggested she call me back tomorrow, though I have no intention of picking up.

I received a call claiming I was among the final three contenders for a free iPhone, which sounded rather too good to be true if I’m honest. They mentioned something about a lottery without needing any subscriptions, but then he suddenly started prattling on about promotions. What threw me off the most was how he had all my personal details - my name, address, even my birth date! At that point, I began to feel suspicious. Then, out of the blue, he asked me where I’d want the money to go should I happen to win the lotto and which bank I was with. I immediately felt the need to end the conversation and told him I was preoccupied. But he insisted that he needed that information to finish up the form! Unbelievably, I didn't share a thing, and he hung up on me! How dodgy!

They rang me up about Euro Millions offering 10 free lines for Friday plus some kind of future deal. Thing is, they already had loads of my details like name, address, birthday and all that. Then they asked me for my bank info, can you imagine, supposed to be for my “certain” jackpot win. That’s when it hit me - either it’s a scam or those phone hackers are back at it. So, I just ended the call.

I use BT call guardian on my landline and it’s stopped all my spam calls until now. These sneaky lot have managed to get right through like they’re on some kind of safe list. Same old rubbish about winning a prize. When I asked the woman how she bypassed the call guardian without saying who she was, she just told me to feck off and hung up! I’ve blocked the number now but if you’ve got call guardian just be careful, looks like they’ve found a way round it.

Got a call from a lady who sounded Asian, claimed I'd signed up for some online big lotto competition. I asked when I supposedly entered but she just said "you should know when you entered it". She said I'd won 10 chances for tonight's EuroMillions and something about the national lottery too. She asked how often I play but I felt iffy about the whole thing, so I told her I didn’t wanna share personal details. She suddenly became quite rude, told me off and then hung up. Definitely seemed like a scam to me.

If you’re not careful, your mobile number could end up in the hands of dodgy firms, some of which may very well be scams. The takeaway? If you receive calls from unknown businesses or about competitions you've never entered, it’s best not to get involved. The caller just had my email ID, which isn’t really my proper name, so that immediately made me wary. Said something about running a lottery & Euromillions?? It was a woman with an Asian accent, talking in choppy English, and kept pressing me for my full name. Plus, there was loads of noise in the background. Utterly appalling! It was clear to me from the outset that this was a scam, and when I raised my concerns, they simply cut the call! I implore you, don’t be taken in by this nonsense. Their story didn’t add up at all - they promised me ten free entries for the upcoming Euromillions this Friday, along with some ridiculous offer to purchase 150 entries for just four quid, supposedly available from the 15th of February. Don't say I didn't warn you!

It was a woman with a strong Asian accent, really hard to catch what she was saying. I can't imagine any decent company using someone who's so tricky to understand. Besides, I only share my mobile with close mates and family. I'm also signed up with the Telephone Preference Service. What creeped me out is that they already had my name.

Got a call from an Asian lady claiming I'd won 10 free lotto entries from Toluna survey, which I haven't touched for ages. I received a call from this number earlier today, claiming that I had entered a competition on 'my offers' around six months back - which is absolutely not the case. They informed me that I was selected as one of the final 150 participants vying for prizes like an iPhone, an iPad, and some lottery shares. To my dismay, they even had my name and address! What a total rip-off! I received a call on the 18th of January, 2017, from someone with an Asian accent who claimed I’d won a phone after supposedly filling out a survey. The truth is, I never participate in any surveys-online or otherwise. They were eager to get my email and address to supposedly send some lottery tickets my way. I graciously turned them down and have since made sure to block any further calls from that number.

Just had a rather puzzling phone call. I inquired how they had obtained my number, and they claimed it was through a survey from an internet grocery shop that I supposedly completed. Quite frankly, I don't recall taking part in such a thing. When I probed further about whether they'd consulted the Telephone Preference Service list, it became apparent they hadn't bothered.
