They had my name, DOB, and at least my house number, so maybe they got it from some online competition. They said I was a finalist for winning a new iPhone, but then started talking about winning 150 lines a week in the Euromillions for just £4. When she mentioned it would cost £39 a month and that they’d send me a link to set up an online account, I told her I couldn’t afford it, and the call ended pretty civilly. Still, I’ve blocked the number now. No way am I clicking on any links or sharing my financial details.

I received a call today from someone who claimed to be from the pensions office. To be honest, his accent was unlike anything I've ever encountered in the UK. He spoke down to me as if I were oblivious, confidently asserting that I must be aware of the recent pension updates.
