Had a chat with someone called John from Medical alert, who started asking me loads of personal stuff. I just made up rubbish answers like saying I'm 20 but got arthritis and heart problems. I reckon he worked out I was messing about, but I hope he realises he was taking the mick with my time too. Maybe if we all just keep these annoying spam callers going for ages, they might get the hint and quit bothering us.

A caller from "Medical Alert" rang me up and seemed eager to ask if I’m "over 65 years old." I told him to go ahead and ask. Then he wanted to know if I use a walker, and again I said it’s fine to ask. I decided to hit back with, "Are you familiar with the Telephone Preference Service?" Right after that, he said goodbye and ended the call.

Got a call from some medical alert place, they asked if I was older than 50 and if I used a walker or what I'd do if I fell. I told them I’m in good shape and don’t need any gear like that. After I said that, they just wished me a good day and hung up. Definitely seemed like a scam to me.

A guy phoned asking how old I was and if I had any health problems, claiming I might qualify for a free alarm from Medical Alert. He wouldn’t say how they got my phone number. When I called the number back, it turned out to be Philitastica Marketing, saying it was about home insulation checks. I couldn’t find anything about that company anywhere, and it feels like a scam aimed at getting cash from people over 50. Stay well clear.

Got a call this morning from someone claiming I could qualify for a free medical alert system. He kept asking all sorts of stuff like my age, health problems and if I had trouble moving about, but I didn't share anything. When I asked where he got my number or info from, he just cut me off. Feels like a dodgy scam to me. Not sure if they're trying to rip me off, gather my info, or just check if I'm easy to fool. Either way, didn't trust it at all.

I had a similar encounter. A chap named Alex informed me that I qualified for a complimentary medical alert system. When I inquired about how he acquired my phone number, he mentioned that his manager provided him with a daily list of contacts to ring. I requested to chat with his manager, but he flatly declined. So, I ended the call and filed a complaint with the Telephone Preference Service.

But this time 'Alex' launched straight into some sales spiel about an SOS alarm because of my health, claiming it was free. I just ended the call. A call came through from 01616761944 offering a free pendant alarm, claiming we qualified for it. We asked if they were from our local council, but they said they were a nationwide firm based in Dorset working with various councils. Since we already have a bracelet alarm, we told them we didn’t need another one. The polite chap then wished us a good day and ended the call. Received another call today, this time from someone named Alex. He went through the same routine, inquiring about my age and asking about a medical device. He claimed to be situated in Cornwall. It’s quite baffling how they switch their phone numbers almost on a weekly basis. Yet, the message remains unchanging: “Your national insurance number will soon be suspended.”

Beware of these con artists pretending to be from the National Crime Agency, they’re up to no good with their national insurance scams.

Received a call from 0161 676 1945 at 7:45 AM! I opted not to pick up since I didn’t recognise the number. It’s apparently a Manchester line. Given the feedback I've seen here, I’ve decided to block it.

Received a call that I instantly recognised as a scam. I engaged with the so-called “officer” on the line and requested that my number be taken off their list. She flatly refused and abruptly ended the call. How typical!

There was a pause, then some automated voice claimed they were calling from the national crime agency saying my national insurance was being suspended. I quickly ended the call and blocked the number to avoid ringing them back by mistake, which would likely have cost a fortune.

Received a call yesterday while I was chatting away on the phone. After about 15 seconds of silence, my device or service provider cut the line since I have call waiting activated. They didn't bother to leave a voicemail, so I assumed it wasn't too urgent. Curious, I looked up the number today and saw comments indicating it should be BLOCKED - appears it's a scam ringing all over the UK, including Scotland.

I've received calls from this number, as well as another that finishes with 1945. Both have been blocked, and they're clearly scams. A quick online search reveals that there's also a number ending in 1946 that's being circulated.

I received a call from this number, but I swiftly rejected it. Earlier today, I also had an incoming call from 01135214053, which I likewise turned down, as I’m still quite young and prioritise my safety. I made sure to block both of these numbers without delay.
