I just had a call that appeared to come from Manchester, but the voice on the line was some weird AI named Shannon, speaking with an Indian accent, saying she was from “O2”. I didn’t bother answering properly and ended up hanging up since I’ve no dealings with them. When O2 genuinely rings, the caller ID clearly says O2 anyway.

I told them straight it was a scam and they just ended the call.

Got a call saying they were from O2 with a deal for 40% off my phone contract if I stayed for two more years. They asked for my email address linked to O2 and then wanted the password to verify who I was. I gave them a fake Gmail address, which they tried to check. A couple of days later, they rang me again but from another number. Definitely looked like a scam trying to steal my O2 account info.
