I've got a call blocker on my home phone to keep those annoying scam or cold calls at bay. The other day, I was actually on a proper call when their ring came through, which shouldn't have happened since they normally need to press a specific number first, or else they get blocked. Got a really weird call from someone using an AI-sounding voice, meant to trick you into saying "yes" so they can clone your voice for scams. Don’t even say yes, they’ll claim you agreed to let them use your voice recording for fraud. Best thing is to just hang up quick, shout at them, or even blow a whistle into the phone. Honestly, it’s safer to never talk in your real voice when you pick up dodgy calls - just mess around with a different voice instead.
