My phone just got a ring from 01615373712, somewhere in Manchester I think. No voicemail left, which makes me pretty certain it's some kind of scam or dodgy call. I don’t know anybody from that area at all. I’ve put them on my block list. Yesterday I also got a call from 01615373709, which I reckon is the same mob - blocked them too. These calls are such a pain, I just ignore them now. Honestly, the police should really do something about these lot. The tricky bit is that even though the number looks local, the call might be coming from abroad. So watch out!

Got a call from 0161 537 3709 again, even after I’d blocked the original number a while back. This time it showed up as +44 161 537 3709 on my phone. It was a dead silent call, so I’ve just gone ahead and blocked it again. Feels like one of those dodgy numbers trying to trick you into calling back and ending up with a heavy charge or scam. Best to ignore it and just block straight away.

This number rang me 6 times just today, saying I was in a car accident - which isn't true at all. I picked up on the first call, and they wanted me to verify my name, address, and my car's registration, but I quickly ended the call. I've now blocked the number.

Whenever I get calls from these scammers, I play along. I let them do their spiel, then I tell them I don't drive because I've got no arms or legs, so never had any accidents. Most of the time they’re stunned and end up hanging up, or sometimes they apologise and promise to take me off their call list. Give it a go, it’s kinda funny!
