Today I got a call from someone who sounded Indian, said he could help me find a job and asked about how much I earn right now. I've got this call blocking system through my phone company but it doesn't seem to do anything. Who are these folks anyway and how come they keep calling even with blocking in place? It's really annoying!

The number was unfamiliar to me, so I just let it go to voicemail. There was no message, so I’m planning to just ignore any more calls from them. They apparently saw I visited their site, but if they keep hassling me about making a purchase, I’m probably going to block the caller next time.

i called the number after looking it up here. some robotic voice said, "thanks for calling homeshield direct," then went on about opting out by emailing homeshielddirect@something. the weird thing is, the website address sounded really off - she said ".dot c 0 dot uk" instead of the usual "dot co dot uk" you’d think. felt fishy, so i didn’t bother to reply.

I decided not to pick up since I've blocked loads of calls from Manchester lately. The numbers change just a bit each time, usually the last digits are different. I don't know anyone there so it's pretty annoying having to keep blocking them, only for them to ring back with another very similar number.
