Some bloke called saying he was from Haringey council, claiming they’d cleared the pathway outside my place or something, but I’m not sure what he was on about. I never handed my landline to the council, so how on earth did he even get hold of my number? Bit suspicious if you ask me.

The caller had a strong Asian accent, maybe from Pakistan or India. They claimed to be calling on behalf of the National Health Services - not the NHS though - and said they wanted to do a survey. They didn’t talk about Covid or any vaccines. I never take part in phone surveys, so I just blocked the number.

Got a call claiming to be from the NHS Covid helpline. First they asked if I’d had all my vaccines and booster, then quizzed me about any side effects I might have experienced. After that, they wanted to know if I was using the NHS app, and if not, why. Then they mentioned something about my Covid forms saying I had life or health insurance, which felt really dodgy. That’s when I clocked it was a scam and told them I’m on the TPS list. I warned them that if they called again, I’d be reporting them to the National Fraud Investigation Bureau. They hung up straight away after that.

Just had a call from a man with an Asian accent claiming he was ringing from the NHS. He asked if I’d had all my covid vaccinations and whether my vaccine card had come through yet. I told him I hadn’t received anything, and he said it should show up within 14 days. Then he tried to find out who I had my life insurance with. I told him that’s not NHS business. He insisted it was needed to update their records. Definitely felt like a scam to me.

Got a call quite like others mentioned, this bloke said he was from the NHS and asked if I’d been vaccinated. Then he went on about life insurance - why did he need to know that? I wasn’t about to let him chat to some elderly lady instead, so I pushed back a bit and asked him why it was relevant. His answer? Something about updating their system so if I catch covid, my insurer could pay me out. I told him my insurance was pure life cover, no illness stuff. He got really patronising and just kept repeating “I’m from the NATIONAL HEALTH SERVICE, MA’AM.” I said I’ve already got the official app with all my accurate info on it, and that he even called me by my maiden name, which isn’t on the app, so I wasn’t convinced he was legit. I said if I’m not comfortable sharing info, that should be respected. They obviously want to find out who your insurer is - don’t give it to them!

I told him to jog on and that my medical details aren’t his business, whoever he claims to be. If he really was from the NHS, surely he’d already have my vaccine info? Total scam.
