I got a call from 804-308-8979 claiming to be from “Windows 35” and said my computer was infected and they needed access right away. I refused and told them I had to step out for a couple hours. They warned if they didn’t reach a live person when they called back, they’d be forced to shut down my computer. I just played along and said my wife would handle it when she got home around 6pm. It’s now 4pm and my computer’s just fine. They told me waiting that long would ruin the computer forever. What a load of rubbish - sounds like a cyber-bully tactic to me. Kelly Neff Iowa

Got a call on my landline, answered with a "hello" three times but no reply, so I just hung up.

Got a call from a woman claiming to be from the Windows 35 support team. She said my computer was downloading files and asked for my PC number. Sounded a bit fishy to me.
