I never pick up calls from unknown numbers. I heard once that answering might start some kind of hidden fee, though I’m not sure how accurate that is - but I don’t want to take any chances. Calling back sounds risky too, possibly costing money. It’s strange that whenever someone actually answers, the other person just hangs up straight away. Why would they do that? Either way, I’m not a fan of random cold calls at all.

I answered this call and there was silence for a good few seconds before a person finally said they were calling from some ‘huge company’ but wouldn’t say which one, they gave their full name and insisted it was really important. I told them I was tied up, then they got aggressive, accusing me of not taking it seriously at all. When I asked for more info, it quickly became obvious the caller wasn’t being honest about who they were, so I just hung up. Pretty sure it was a scam, so I’d advise folks to avoid answering or just block the number altogether.

So, I missed their call but decided to ring them back. An automated voice picked up and said it was from DCT Communications. When I looked up the number online, the company described themselves as some kind of global call centre offering great chances for people with good communication abilities. Pretty sure it’s just one of those cold calling firms.
