Some bloke said he was with the ‘Food House Company’ or something like that - hard to catch with the dodgy signal and all the crackling on the line, plus the language barrier didn’t help. He was going on about unlimited minutes and texts for £30 a month. I had to stop him when I mentioned it was a work phone contract. Weird how he even got my number!

Got a call from someone saying I owed money on a contract with Carphone Warehouse, which apparently is now Currys. I’ve heard this is a scam so watch out! If Carphone Warehouse were actually contacting you, they’d say they’re calling from Currys for sure. Don’t get fooled like I almost did!

my internet had only been live for half an hour and the phone connected to the router when i got a call claiming to be from openreach about some security issue, saying other people were using my connection! the guy sounded like he was following a script and when i interrupted him, he just kept going. sounded like he was calling from a call centre, maybe in india given the strong asian accent. when i asked how he could prove he was from openreach, he ignored me and carried on. apparently if it wasnt fixed, my internet would get cut off in 24 hours. i just ended the call.
