I received a few calls from a chap with a foreign accent who seemed to think my name was something it quite clearly isn’t. He introduced himself as Dennis from Lifestyle Habits, claiming he was conducting a survey related to lifestyle choices, and was quite persistent in asking for some personal details. Quite the nuisance, if you ask me!

I got this rather peculiar phone call earlier. There was quite a bit of racket in the background, and the chap on the line had a rather thick accent. Strangely enough, he addressed me by my name from a decade ago! He claimed to be from the Credit Investigation Bureau, insisting that I had an unpaid debt. When he asked, "Is that true?" I replied with a firm no, and just like that, he abruptly hung up. Quite a dodgy situation, if you ask me!

First, he inquired about a postcode I’ve never resided at, then my age range, whether I own my house, rent, or still live with the folks (I fibbed and said I was renting), proceeded to ask who provides my broadband (again, I wasn’t honest), and finally wanted my current postcode. When I expressed discomfort sharing such details, he pressed the matter-so in the end, I simply hung up and blocked the number.
