Got a call from someone claiming to be my bank, saying there were two suspicious transactions - one for £300 on Amazon and another £600 to an overseas account that needed my approval. They wanted me to press some numbers on my phone to verify it. These scammers are just absolute rubbish, really deserve to be caught and dealt with properly. I refused to follow their instructions and just ended the call straight away.

Got a call saying there was a problem with a couple of bank payments, but they never gave me a company name or even said which business they were calling about. Seems pretty much like a phishing attempt to me.

I've just had a dodgy phone call that reeks of a phishing attempt. The caller mentioned problems with two bank transactions but never revealed the name of their company or details about which bank account was supposedly in trouble. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

Got a voicemail on my answer machine about some dodgy charges on my credit card, one for £1000 and another for £300, asking me to press xxx to talk to someone. Honestly, it sounded like a total scam to me!

Picked up the phone but there was silence, then after about 10 seconds the call just dropped.

Could you please get in touch regarding a £900 transaction that has occurred from abroad?

Got a call from some so-called "bank" claiming I'd lost two amounts from my account, one was £1000, sounded like a total scam. Guess what, all these dodgy calls come from Manchester! I don't even live near there. It's just scammers and viruses all over that place. Stay safe, these guys are proper rats!

I got a call from someone saying they were with my bank, saying there had been two big withdrawals - like over £1000 each - that someone tried to make.

I got a call from 01615201381 saying they’d taken £1000 from my credit card, wanted me to confirm it was me. Sounds like a bank scam to me!

I got a call saying someone had taken £1000 out of my credit card, then they rang me again about 10 minutes later. Felt like they were just pestering me.

Got a call from some “bank” with no ID, telling me I've got nearly a grand in an account I never use and then said press 1 to make a payment. Total scam, just an automated voice with no bank name, asking me to just hit buttons. How the heck are these crooks still allowed to operate? We’ve got their number, so why doesn’t anyone do something? BT must be raking it in from letting these scammers use their network - why aren’t they held responsible for helping in fraud?

Got a robocall from someone claiming to be my bank saying there were two huge charges of £1000, one to Amazon and another international transfer. They told me to press 1 to approve or 2 to cancel. I just ended the call straight away.

Got a robo call from some “bank security” saying my money had been taken online. It’s mad how neither the bank nor the phone company can track down what’s going on with this! Feels like a total scam from both sides, the bank and phone firm both dropping the ball.

Referring back to earlier messages: 1. I received a phone call that was labelled as "international" rather than a typical 0161 number from Manchester. 2. The caller didn’t disclose the person they were attempting to reach. 3. The woman on the line spoke with an English accent.

Got a robo call this morning sayin there was suspicious activity on my card, something about two transactions - one from amazon and the other some transfer I dont recognise. They said it was from bank security and that since I’ve never used this before they needed to check with me. Then they asked me to press 1, which sounded off. Really scary for older folks who might think its legit cos they never mention the actual bank name. Could be a nasty scam.

Got a call from this number, and it was a polite bloke with an Asian accent claiming to be from my bank. He was trying to trick me into giving my account info. Definitely not legit.

I received a notification stating my card had been charged twice, once for £300 and another for £2000. However, they didn't specify which card was used or name the bank involved. Quite concerning, really!

Received notifications that my card had supposedly been used on two occasions, as mentioned earlier. They even had the audacity to ring back and speak directly to me instead of my husband. Claimed to be from the security team, yet didn’t specify which bank they were representing.

Absolute cowards pretending to be my bank calling with a robotic voice, trying to frighten me about two big payments supposedly taken from my account. They really need to wake up and understand that real banks send a security text with a code for any transaction. I just hope no one falls for these awful scammers. Seriously, how do they live with themselves?
