‭0161 692 2920‬ rang me up claiming I had a warrant and to get in touch with HM Customs. I knew straight away it was a scam, cause why would they actually phone to warn you about that? Total nonsense.

I got a voicemail from a woman claiming to be Officer Annie Davies, who said if I or my lawyer didn’t ring the number she left, I’d be in big trouble. She even mentioned HMRC being in Manchester - since when? It sounded so dodgy. At the end, she even said “take care,” like that’s supposed to make it seem legit. These kinds of phone scams are disgusting and should be locked up. I know their whole plan is to scare folks, and while I’m not falling for it, I can imagine it freaks out loads of people. There really ought to be stronger laws to stop this kind of harassment.

Got a call from 0161 519 0836 today, but looked like the same silly scam as always. Just so you know, HMRC never phone people up, and they definitely don’t have an office in Manchester. Honestly, these muppets need to stop wasting our time!

When I did call, they claimed I’d missed paying my taxes and threatened that I’d be arrested if I didn’t settle up immediately. They wanted me to send the money to some Esker account. I told them I needed to hang up and check with someone first, but they said if I did hang up there’d be serious trouble. Still, I ended the call and contacted HMRC to report it. Later, they called me again from a different number, but as soon as I said I knew it was a scam, the bloke just hung up.

Had a really scary call today from some bloke named Steven Wyatt. He told me the police would be coming for me and I’d have to appear in court for tax evasion or something. I work for the NHS and have never had any problems with taxes! I kept asking how it got this far when I’d never been contacted before. Rang up HMRC afterwards and everything’s totally fine with my account. Definitely a scam call. What a rubbish way to begin the morning!
