Got a robo call saying it’s Visa about a payment issue - total scam. They kept asking me to press 1 or 2. Just blocked the number right away.

They claimed to be from Marists, but I’d already dealt with it, plus they never actually call you back.

Just received a call from this number a mere five minutes back. It turned out to be a pre-recorded message about an alleged overdue payment for Marisota. Quite the nuisance!

sounds like one of those automatic payment fraud calls to me

i dont really get this one. they said they were from marisota and even knew my name plus my account number. i called marisota and the details all seemed legit when it came to my account. normally i’m quite good at spotting scams but this one’s got me confused. not sure what i should do now? probably just gonna watch my accounts closely but i’m really concerned. was feeling down and not really paying attention like i usually do. feel really stupid about it.

Got a robo call from this number earlier today. The caller said they were from Marisota and claimed I was late on a payment. They asked me to press 1 to pay right away, but I just ended the call straight away. Seems dodgy to me since I don’t owe Marisota anything. Either way, I wouldn’t trust a firm that does business like this or pay up over the phone like that.

i just got a robocall from this number telling me my payment to marisota was overdue and to press 1 to sort it out. i pay everything through direct debit and my payment went through a couple days ago. marisota told me its definitely a scam and they wouldn't ever ring like this to ask for money.

Somebody called saying they were from Marisota and told me to ring them about my account. I looked up the number here and decided not to call back because I don’t think there’s any issue with my account.

Got a recorded message sayin my marisota payment was late. It told me to press 1 to sort it out. I always pay by standing order and the payment already cleared my account last week, so this call was clearly just a scam trying to get me.
