Upon picking up the call, they abruptly ended the conversation without a word.

I received a phone call from someone purporting to discuss my PPI claim, and they went on to request my bank details. It struck me as a dodgy attempt to scam. The caller had a noticeable accent that suggested they were in a call centre abroad.

I received a call from someone claiming to be with an energy supplier that just topped the rankings. However, when I asked how they got hold of my personal details, they couldn’t provide a satisfactory answer. I mentioned GDPR regulations, and he tried to sidestep my inquiries. While I acknowledged he probably had my number in front of him, I insisted he ought to furnish me with specifics about how exactly the company came by my full name and number. He agreed but subsequently hung up on me. What a dodgy experience with 1 to 1 Utilities!

However, when I pressed him for the origin of my name and number, he became quite evasive, even attempting to counter my mention of GDPR regulations. While I conceded that he might not have my number displayed, I insisted he ought to be able to shed some light on how they acquired my details. To my surprise, he abruptly ended the conversation after agreeing to provide that information! What a shambles-1 to 1 Utilities, indeed!

I get really wary of calls where they dont leave a message, because it just feels like a scam or some sales call. I never bother calling back if there's no message left. Wish they'd just say who they are and why theyre calling, that would make things a lot clearer.
