Somebody rang asking for my husband by his name, but as soon as I said he’d passed away, they just hung up right away!

They called me asking for someone who wasn’t me, even though they had the correct address. I didn’t want to give any name, so I just said they must have got the wrong person. Could hear loads of noise in the background like it was a call centre, so I ended the call.

I pick up and all I can hear is loads of background noise but no one speaks. After a few secs they just hang up. Really annoying!

When I picked up, there was just loads of background noise and nobody actually spoke. It sounded like it was coming from some sort of call centre.

Got a call from a lady asking for me by name. In the background, someone was yelling really loudly about some kind of installation. I mentioned this to the caller, saying, “you need to focus, I can hear someone shouting.” She denied it, claimed no one was shouting at all. I asked if she was calling from a call centre and she confirmed that she was. Turns out it was about cavity wall insulation, so I just said I was going to hang up and ended the call.

Got a robo call claiming to be TalkTalk's tech support, saying my internet was about to be cut off straight away. I just ended the call so missed what else they had to say. Now I’m thinking if it’s BT next or someone else who wants to drop me? Bit worrying!

Got a call from a number I didn't recognise. I looked it up here and decided to just block it. They didn't even leave a voicemail or anything on my answerphone.
