Received a call today on my work phone, which I barely share, about some accident supposedly from the past couple of years. When I asked who they were and how they got my number, they got really hostile. Claimed they had no info about the accident because it was from some “opted-in” list or whatever. Didn’t even confirm my name, just said they were from AMS. The guy sounded South African and was pretty rude, got aggressive when I pushed back and then abruptly hung up on me.

Got a call earlier asking for the time, but then they said it was about some accident I’d apparently been in. Told them I hadn’t been in any accident and she started cursing at me and just hung up. Got a call from folks claiming to be from AMS, I asked what AMS stood for, and they said Accident Management Solutions, mentioning something about a no-fault accident. I told them I’ve never been in any accident and hung up. Total scammers. I then dialled 1471 to catch their number. Honestly, I’m sick of getting like 7 calls a day from these idiots.

It was a scam call about an accident, and when I questioned it, the person on the other end got really aggressive and rude. I've reported the number to the authorities now.

Got a call about accident claims. They knew my name and which insurance company I use. A South African lady started, then passed me over to a South African guy. i always ignore calls from numbers i don’t recognise, even if it’s important they’ll normally leave a voicemail or try another way to reach you. just block them and don’t call back, sometimes it’s a trick to make you pay for returning the call. it’s annoying how they’re now using 0800 numbers or local landline ones to make it look like someone familiar is calling. our phone number isn’t listed but they still manage to get through loads. really grateful for these websites and the blocking options our providers give for landlines and mobiles. just block them straight away.

called them back but got no answer, just silence on the line. the person said they was confirming insurance details for an old claim from a few years back, had a south african accent and used my maiden name. felt like they were trying to fish for info, watch out!
