Received three missed calls in a row last week from someone purporting to be from UKI, regarding a supposed car accident-which, mind you, none of us have even been involved in! To top it off, the number they called from isn’t one associated with UKI at all. I attempted to ring it back, but lo and behold, it routed through Brazil (+554044161020120), as confirmed by BT when I reported it. To say I’m baffled is putting it mildly! In this modern age, BT seems wholly inept at taking action against these dubious numbers and calls; their solution is merely to keep an eye on it. The only advice they had for me to curb these bothersome calls was to shell out £34.99 for one of their BT6500 phones or to change my phone number entirely! What a farce!

I received a rather abrupt phone call from someone who insisted they were with UKI, claiming to discuss potential compensation that I might be entitled to. Quite frankly, their tone was rather off-putting, and I decided to cut the conversation short by hanging up.
