Absolutely rubbish management firm. They’ve been the subject of tonnes of grumbles over the way they handle things. They hike up the rent but don’t even give the extra to the landlords. Honestly, steer clear if you can.

Had an issue with rats and was told it wasn’t their problem but the council’s. So I phoned the council and when I said I was a private tenant, they said it wasn’t their responsibility. I called back and mentioned that to them, only to be told the council was lying. I rang again to explain that and asked for my landlord’s details. I said it was a guy called Richard Metcalf, but really it’s the management company. The moment I mentioned that name, he chuckled and said “ah, them again.”

If there was a prize for the absolute worst management firm, Brigfords Walkden would snatch it hands down. It's honestly shocking how bad they are. You raise an issue, then you report it again, and then once more - nothing changes. Fed up with the waiting, I had to call a plumber myself to sort it out. But of course, Brigfords wouldn't cover the cost since he's not on their list of approved contractors. So, in the end, I was stuck paying the bill. Seriously, Brigfords Walkden are the worst management company I've ever dealt with.

Avoid these estate agents at all costs. Their property management is a complete mess. They rent out vacant homes for all kinds of wild parties, including drug-filled swinging events.
