I received a call from a certain Louise Green, purporting to be affiliated with the Child Road Safety Campaign. She requested that I select a local school for them to send road safety literature, claiming I had consented to this back in November. She mentioned I would be billed £180 plus VAT, and that a copy of the book would bear my name. When I questioned her about this, she mentioned the calls are recorded, so I asked for a copy of the original conversation. Rather abruptly, she hung up on me. It's quite amusing, really, as I was abroad during November and wouldn't have been able to agree to anything of the sort.
