I picked up the phone and a woman said I was eligible for some payout about a car crash I supposedly had. She wanted the crash date and the registration numbers for both cars. She said me and my mate in the car could get some money.

They rang again today, same as usual, loads of times a day. Sometimes they leave a message saying they're from 'Vital Nature' and just popped to the post office to send out a prize of £50,000. Would be nice if it was true, but there’s no info on what to do next or how to claim it. I’m definitely planning to report this number to the cops.

This number has rung me around 30 times over the last couple of weeks. Just today, six calls all during half an hour! I always ignore it. I’m tempted to put my phone on silent, but I don’t see why I should have to miss calls I actually want to take. There’s gotta be some way to make these calls stop. I’ve also got around five other annoying numbers constantly bothering me. Blocking one number doesn’t help since they just switch to another. With so many auto diallers out there, it feels like there’s no way to block them all.

I received a call from someone who said they were with the Consumer Credit Advice Bureau, which is supposedly located in Manchester, UK. However, the call was clearly routed from the Philippines. It seems rather fishy; it gives the impression they might be trying to obtain sensitive financial information for dubious reasons. Dont trust a word these folks say. First, they claimed to be from the Department for Work and Pensions, then suddenly switched to something called Department of Budget and Work Analysis. They claimed to be ringing from the Citizens Advice Bureau, so I asked them to say again where exactly they were calling from and they said "the credit department". Got a call from someone claiming to be Heather Graham at HMRC, said I needed to ring back urgently and left a number. Obviously, I didn’t bother calling them. It was one of those robotic voicemail things anyway. If HMRC genuinely needed to get in touch, they’d send a letter. Total scam number!

I received a call from this number, and I decided to stay silent until they began to speak. The first thing I heard was a polite “Good afternoon, how may we assist you?” I politely replied that they had, in fact, called me. Then they proceeded to mention my name, asking if it was accurate, and claimed that a colleague had reached out before and this was a follow-up about a pension assessment. Before she could go further, I interjected to say that I had no interest in any of that and requested that they remove my name and contact information from their records. Despite my clear rejection, she seemed quite determined to go on with the review. I reiterated my position, and her response was merely, “Alright, I can do that. Goodbye.” It left me wondering where they had managed to obtain my name and number. I've since added them to my blocked contacts list!

some bloke from a company in manchester called me a couple of times saying he could help with my debts. i told him to ring my home number but it got blocked by my phone provider. pretty sure its a dodgy scam.

Got a call claiming to be from some Consumer Credit Advice group, telling me I could get 75% off my credit card debt ‘cause I’m making regular payments. Sounds great, right? So I asked where they got my details from and that’s when they started dodging the question. Then I mentioned I was at work and asked what exactly they wanted - suddenly they got all awkward and rushed off the call. No idea what records they’re gonna ‘update’ when they’ve got no proper info. I’ve blocked the number now. If you get a call from this one, I’d avoid it too. Total SCAM.

It's incredibly frustrating to have my phone constantly ringing during the early hours or around midday. I've repeatedly informed them that I've had no incidents, but they just won't take it on board. It’s like talking to a brick wall!

Someone claimed to be from some consumer info office in Manchester, but I couldn't find any trace of it online. When I asked for their website or email, they said they'd need to check with a manager first. It really annoyed me that I had no way to verify who I was actually speaking to. The whole time, their whole pitch was about "helping" me sort out a credit card debt - which I don’t even have! They keep ringing from different Manchester numbers and I’ve just been blocking every single one.

Got a call from a woman speaking with a Nigerian accent, said she was from the Pensions Review Board. Claimed they were doing a review on behalf of the FCA. Pretty obvious it’s a scam, total rubbish if you ask me.

Got a call from some woman saying she was from the 'Pensions board' trying to get info about my pension. When I asked her for her full name and what company she was with, she suddenly sounded all nervous. These sorts of scams seem to be everywhere now, all pretending to help but really just trying to steal from older folks. Honestly, just don’t entertain them and hang up straight away!

So this bloke with an Asian accent rang me saying he was from citizen advice, right? I told him they don’t just phone people out of the blue and asked his name, but he just ended the call straight away! What a dodgy move.

This number 0161 396 0531 has called me about six times now! I’ve repeatedly asked them to remove me from their calling list but they just keep ringing. Really getting on my nerves.

This number tends to ring us after dinner, and most of the time, there's just silence on the line. I suspect it's related to that car accident I was involved in - funny thing is, this is my wife's phone and she doesn't even drive! We're getting rather tired of it now.
