Got a call from one of those scammy cold callers. As soon as I picked up, I stayed silent, waiting for them to speak first. When they finally said hello, I let them know if they’re going to ring out of the blue, they should bloody well be ready to talk when someone answers. After that, I plainly told them where to shove it and wished them the worst. I’m over trying to be nice to these idiots.

Someone rang up saying they could lower the cost of our boiler repair plan and even used my first name, which threw me off a bit. As soon as I told them we don't actually pay for that kind of thing, they just ended the call.

Got a call from 0161 3941835 earlier, rang back using 1471 'cos I thought it was a Manchester number I was waiting for. When I answered, they said “You called us?” I told them no and just told them to hang up. Bit weird!
