I had a rather dodgy call from someone claiming to be from the FCA, insisting that I had a bitcoin account. They presented me with a couple of choices and inquired what I wanted to do next. I told them firmly that I wished for them to stop bothering me, hung up, and promptly blocked the number.

I received a call from someone purporting to be from a blockchain company, complete with a din of voices in the background typical of a call centre. It was clearly a spam call. When I feigned ignorance about the individual they were inquiring after, they apologised and swiftly ended the conversation. At least the chaps had the decency to be courteous in their trickery!

Absolutely dodgy! I’ve blocked the number, yet they persist in ringing me from six different ones.

What a stroke of luck I’ve had! It seems I’ve stumbled upon a substantial sum of £2800 lying dormant in some mystery bank account I wasn’t even aware of. The caller was practically bursting with excitement while requesting my bank details, to which I agreed, albeit with some hesitation. Instead of my actual information, I decided to throw out a random number just to see their reaction. Surprise, surprise, they immediately claimed it was incorrect! When I suggested they send me a cheque for the funds owed, the chap on the other end-who sounded of Asian descent-lost his temper completely and hung up on me, cursing away! It’s quite laughable really, a rather shoddy scam if you ask me; however, I can’t help but think there are plenty of unsuspecting souls out there who might bite. I’d advise anyone to steer clear and block this number!

I received a rather dubious call from someone claiming I had funds locked away in a Bitcoin wallet, and they were eager for my banking information to process some sort of transfer. The accent suggested he might be Indian, and when I pushed back for more information, he just kept parrotting the same lines straight from a script. I made it clear that I'd be reaching out to the authorities, considering I've never owned a Bitcoin wallet in my life. At that point, he abruptly ended the conversation. It seems there's a multitude of scams floating about, with this number pretending to be from a financial regulatory body or something similar. My advice? Just end the call and don’t engage!

I received a call from someone purporting to represent the Financial Conduct Authority. They mentioned I had an unattended Bitcoin wallet worth over £2000 and were inquiring about my preferred method for accessing these funds.
