When I inquired about which model they were referring to, they mentioned a Hotpoint. The thing is, I don't own a Hotpoint at all, which immediately set off alarm bells for me. However, what struck me as particularly unsettling was that they addressed me by name. Quite clearly, this was a scam attempt.
