Got a call from Lee claiming to be from some payment protection team in Manchester. As soon as I said I wasn’t interested, he just hung up and got blocked straight away.

I live in London and randomly have family up near Manchester. So when I got the call, I was a bit confused. Lucky for me, your brilliant website was there to help and it turned out to be just another annoying cold caller trying to push PPI nonsense. Cheers, Who-Called UK! 0161 354 4431 keeps ringing me, saying I’ve got loads of money waiting to be claimed from PPI rules that have apparently changed after some court decisions. My phone’s blocked list is crammed with 0161 numbers like this one. It’s really frustrating that these calls don’t seem to get stopped. They even tried to ask which bank I hold my credit cards with, but I cut them off right then.
