It’s clearly a dodgy PPI scam just looking to nick your bank info. How can I be so sure? The deadline to claim ended way back in August 2019, and my bank’s already sorted the payout including the tax. I just told them to take the lot and have a good one.

I got a call from an Indian lady trying to flog a funeral plan and also chatting about some PPI thing. I managed to keep her talking for about 20 minutes. By the end, she was proper mad and swearing when she twigged I was wasting her time.

Today at around 10:39, I got a call from this number. Later, I received another call from 01612820387. Neither of these numbers are familiar to me, so I just let them ring out. Pretty sure they’re just automated scam calls trying to get me somehow.

Someone rang me claiming to be from a credit repair service. I asked them how they managed to get my details and where I’d agreed to their GDPR terms. Without a word, they just ended the call straight away.

Sounds like it’s those Indian call centres again! They keep switching up their numbers all the time, so blocking one barely makes a difference since the next call is from a new number anyway.
