01613542731 - Got a call today from someone with an Indian accent who strangely already had my address and phone number. He asked some odd questions like whether I live alone or with family. He was polite, nothing rude, but it felt a bit off. He told me he’d be dropping off a cheque around midday about some PPI refund. I found it quite odd since that’s not how you usually get paid back. Haven’t heard back from him since, but the fact he knew my email, phone and name is really worrying. I’m definitely flagging this as suspicious!

Got a call from some guy who said he was with a company that could sort me out with a PPI refund over £9000. He just wanted my dob. I told him to ring back after 3pm because my daughter was coming round.

Got a call from some dodgy PPI scammer asking for my DOB. I ended up chatting with him for over 12 mins just to kill time and annoy him a bit. Honestly, these virtual phone numbers need to be banned, especially since he was definitely ringing from Asia, not Manchester.

He told me he'd be sending a cheque to my address but wanted to know which bank I use first. Didn’t give me any other details. I told him to go ahead and post the cheque - now I’m just waiting to see what comes of it...

Yeah, it was meant to be a PPI payout, but what really got me suspicious was that they wanted me to pay £100 upfront for a "Paysafe Card Voucher," which I had to buy from some local stores. Today they called again, asking when I’d have my ID ready so their agent could get in touch to collect it before supposedly sending me £7,000. Would be great if it were true, wouldn’t it?

This really seems like a proper scam to me. The guy said I had a PPI claim from a 2017 case, but apparently, the government shut down all PPI claims which is why I haven’t seen any payout yet, and now they can help me get nearly £9000 back. He asked for my date of birth, which immediately made me suspicious since I can't even remember making a PPI claim. When I asked if I could phone their head office myself, he told me to call the same number. From what I know, legit companies will always give you a proper head office number if you ask. My advice: don’t hand over any info at all.

Got a call about some PPI thing, saying a Government lawyer would turn up with a cheque for £6800. They told me to grab a paysafe card from that shop just across the street, even pointed me right to it. Then apparently the solicitor would come once the shop had shared the voucher info with them. Honestly, they must reckon we’re proper gullible or something.

So when they called this time, they started listing a bunch of documents I’d need to prove my identity, which was a bit suspect. Then he asked me to buy a PAYSAFE card for £100. I told him I didn’t have that kind of money, and he cheekily said I should borrow it! I told him to jog on and blocked the number. I knew straight away it was a scam but it’s funny dragging it out to waste their time. Seriously, don’t pick up if they ring you!

Fraudulent call from an Indian call centre!
They've informed me that there's a supposed £9,000 claim for PPI linked to my name.
However, we’ve already sought PPI refunds previously, all recorded under my husband’s details.

Got a call from some scammy Indian call centre the other day. This bloke was going on about me being due £9000 or something. The weird thing is, he used my married name, but when I had PPI, it was all under my maiden name. Proper dodgy and full of lies, those lot!

I received a call today from the number 0161 354 2731, which turned out to be from Intelligent Claims about my PPI from 2017. They were keen to know my date of birth, but I cleverly provided them with a made-up one. Interestingly, they had my address spot on, so I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for that "cheque" they're supposedly sending my way. Let's see how this unfolds.

I received a phone call today regarding a PPI claim tied to my previous address, mentioning a refund of over £7000. They wanted me to be present for the delivery of a cheque. I simply suggested that they send it to me instead, and that’s when the caller started probing for more personal information. When I asked him why he needed so much detail, he became quite irritable, encouraged me to investigate their legitimacy, and then abruptly ended the call. Quite unprofessional, I must say!
