Got a ring from this number earlier today asking about some life insurance policy. I just told the bloke to get lost. Sounded like he had an Indian accent, but the name he gave was Victor, which cracked me up!

So, a guy with an Asian accent answered after a bit of a pause and asked if he was speaking to me by name. Then he said he was calling from 'Assured Life Insurance' and asked if I had any life insurance. I told him I don’t share personal details on calls like that. He just ended the call after that.

Got a call from some Asian call centre showing up as a UK landline but clearly an international number. The guy asked for my husband. When I kept asking questions, he launched into some spiel about life insurance. Picked up the phone and nobody said a word. To me, any quiet call like this feels like harassment and I'll be reporting it straight away. Maybe it was an automated dialler. Getting calls like this just after 9am seems to target older folks, who might be easier to trick. Seriously, who hires these lot? I'd never want a job like that.
