I received a call from Stockport NHS, but to be honest, when they picked up, it felt just like one of those dodgy scam calls with a rather mechanical tone. The first time it rang, I simply cut it off, convinced I was being targeted by a fraudster. Then, just a day later, my phone buzzed again with their number. I reckon Stockport NHS could really benefit from giving their calls a more welcoming and human touch, as I can only imagine how many others might dismiss it as a scam.

Like number 9, which is a premium rate, and could badly hit a pensioner’s pocket. If this really is the NHS, I’m pretty pissed off. Guess I’ll have to ring them back and see what’s going on. they called me five times from fri 18th to sun 20th mar 2016 but i didnt recognise the number luckily my bt call blocker caught all calls so they didnt disturb me. not connected to bt or anything, but since i got this phone a year ago ive not had a single annoying call. the only regular charge is about £1.75 a month for caller id which ive had for ages to help me know who my mates are from their numbers.

The first time they rang, they claimed to be from the CIA, and then suddenly switched to saying they were from TalkTalk! I decided to dial the number myself and was surprised to hear it was supposedly linked to Stockport NHS.
