I've received several calls from this number lately. They never leave a message and never pick up when I try to answer. Quite bizarre, really!

I received a call on Sunday morning, where the callers claimed they were representing a third party regarding some information about a car accident from 2010. They mentioned that a compensation claim had been set aside for minor injuries we supposedly sustained. Naturally, we inquired about the identity of these callers, but their reply was simply that they were acting on behalf of the third party and they didn't provide any company name. We then asked why they were contacting us directly instead of going through our solicitors or the insurance company of the third party, at which point they abruptly hung up on us.

I’ve been inundated with calls from this number, and they always leave a message. However, when I try to return the call, I just get a recorded message about a traffic incident. I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this? Should we possibly notify our insurance company about it?
